We had a great time over Thanksgiving. We flew to Ohio on Wednesday and stopped by to see Great Grandma in the nursing home and the kids got presents from her. Uncle Keith and Aunt Kelly were home so we had fun playing at Grandma and Grandpa's house that night. Aunt Kelly has a fear of clowns and got a Bozo punching bag a few years back as a joke. We found it in the basement and the kids loved it, especially Aubrey.
On Thursday we watched the parade on TV and went back to the nursing home to visit some more. Early in the afternoon Great Grandma, Pam, Mike, Garrett, Evan and Judy joined the fun. We played lots of games and ate lots of food. Aubrey really likes the stairs because we do not have any at home. Ethan liked playing with the boys. It started snowing in the evening.
Friday we woke up to snow that was enough to play in. Derek and I hit the mall and came back to join in with the snow fun. We had another day of food and games.
Saturday morning we left to fly back home. Aubrey was good on both fights, which was a blessing. Our funny story of the trip is that we lost Aubrey getting off the plane. Derek and I both thought the other one had her. Derek was waiting for the stroller and Ethan and I went to waiting area to get out of the way of everyone coming off the plane. Aubrey had been walking off the plane so nobody was holding her. At least 5 minutes later, Derek comes off with the stroller. I kept thinking Aubrey would straggle behind, but she did not. I asked where she was and Derek got a panicked look and stated he thought I had her. I took off running back onto the plane. The lady at the gate told Derek I could not do that because it was against security, but he said oh well. One of the passengers a few rows up from us had Aubrey. She noticed her walking around in the area from the gate to the plane. She did not see me around and looked on the plane, but we were not there. She was bringing her off the plane for us. We had a panic of about a minute and then got a good laugh out of almost leaving our daughter.
We stopped at Downtown Disney for a few minutes on our way home. We made it back just in time to change and be at church.
