More to come...
Opening a card from Aubrey. Inside is a gift card to go this afternoon for a massage, pedicure and manicure.
My feet all nice and pretty. I think this was my first pedicure. I loved it!!
I came back to more presents. I got a new baking pan and a silicone mat from Derek because I like to bake.
Time for cake and ice cream. Yummy!!
Still more to come. Ethan and I are headed out for a bike ride.
I watched some more Scarecrow and Mrs. King and got ready to go out to dinner. I had Emily, our babysitter, snap a picture of us before we left. As we were leaving Derek said, "Don't you want to take the camera." I said no. I already had a picture of us eating breakfast and I thought it is just dinner. Well, I wish he would have just taken the camera. It was not just dinner.
We went to The Melting Pot for dinner. Derek had arranged for flowers to be at our table. It was very romantic. We enjoyed a nice dinner and I thought that was it. I was wrong, there was more!
I stole the ring in the rose idea from Bethany. It is a bunch of little diamonds making up a gorgeous ring. Of course, it is a little too big so it needs to be sized. I was not expecting it at all. Derek found it at the Zales Outlet for 70% off - what a bargain shopper. Now I know what he is really doing when I think he is working late!! Several months ago when my birthday was mentioned I told him not to do a party (I did a surprise party for him) because we did not know enough people yet. I told him diamonds would do fine. He took me seriously. After the shock wore off, I told him the sink would have to wait for a little while. He said, I thought you would say that. In conclusion, I had the perfect day. I have been doing a Bible study on the book Captivating and I told Derek that he met all the areas today. I felted loved, valued and that I played and irreplaceable role in his life. He asked if my love tank was full and I told him if was overflowing and he even has some in reserve now. He was so thoughtful and planned everything perfectly. The part I love the most of the whole day was that he thought of everything. Each gift had a meaning behind it and not just something he paid money for. I have the GREATEST husband in the world!!
Oh, I forgot one more gift. Last night when we got home he had me open my last gift in bed. It is a massage pillow. I always try out the massage things at Brookstone. He got this one because it matches our decor. How cute is he?
