Nana and Papa are in town so we headed to DeLeon Springs this morning. We had heard a lot of good things about it, so we decided to take the 45 minute drive and try out the place for ourselves.
We got there about 8:45 and were seated right away. It is a national park that has a pancake house where you make your own pancakes at your table. Derek said it is the poor man's Melting Pot. You can choose different items to put into your batter. We chose chocolate chips, apples and blueberries.
Ethan loved putting in the chocolate chips and I think he ended up with more chocolate than pancake at the end.
Aubrey decided that she did not like the apple in her pancake and ended up with just a plain one. She did not want to finish so I fed her like a baby and she ate it all.
There is a natural spring that is sectioned off like a pool where you can swim. It is 72 degrees year round.
Ethan jumped right in and loved it. Aubrey needed to be coaxed in and finally Derek just picked her up and placed her in the water and then she was fine.
Ethan bringing Aubrey back to the stairs so she could get out.
All done and ready to go home and rest up before the big dance recital tonight.
