Our Newest Family Member

We caved and got Ethan a puppy yesterday. Well, we bought him but are not actually getting him for 2 weeks. We are going to Disney at the end of this week and then Derek and I are going a cruise the next week. We thought Nana and Papa (they will be watching the kids while we are gone) would appreciate it if we waited until we got back to bring the puppy home. This give me a little more time to prepare. He is 9 weeks old and is a pure bred Miniature Dachshund. We are still working on a name. Friday night Derek saw a sign about the puppies and I gave in and said we could go look on Saturday. Never just go look at a puppy. Ethan has always loved dogs, so here we go. We got him with the promise that if a dog just does not work for our family we would give him to a loving home that he does work for. Rhonda, are you up for a third dog? Just kidding. Anyway, that is the exciting news in our house.

We were thrilled to have our dear friends, the Lambert family spend the night with us last night. They came from Raleigh and stopped on their way to Disney. They went to church with us last night and then enjoyed some Ethan church this morning before heading out. We love this family dearly and were so blessed to have some time with them. They have been very good to us and just love the kids. We are joining them on Thursday to experience Disney with them for 2 days. We can't wait!!

Derek was whisked off today with the other pastors after church for some "play time". They have all been working very hard with the multi campus launch this week so Greg is treating them to some good old fun. It was a surprise so I have no idea what they are up to. The wives are going out to a nice dinner tonight so that will be a treat to enjoy some fellowship together.
