New Years in Orlando

On Sunday after church we headed to Orlando to spend the new year. Derek got a good deal on a room at a resort there. We had a good time just handing out. Ethan loved the pool and all the things the resort had to offer. One pool was heated so we enjoyed that one both days. We went to Downtown Disney where Ethan played with Mr. Potato Head. Aubrey got a baby Cinderella with some Christmas money. Ethan did not have any left to buy any potato head stuff. He suggested that Aubrey might like to share her money with him. We said no and he handled it very well. We enjoyed sundaes at the Giradelli ice cream shop. Ethan's was huge and after checking our receipt we realized that they indeed gave him a regular one instead of a kid one.
The hotel had a balloon drop on New Years Eve and Ethan really liked that. Of course, we waited too long to get down to the floor. They had stopped the elevators because they had a ball drop on the top of one. We used the stairs, but could only get to the second floor. We could not figure out how to get to the lobby. Anyway, we watched from the second floor and then went down to get balloons after. We enjoyed paddle boating the next morning before we checked out. We had a great time.
