Bruster Goes To Brusters

Tonight we took Bruster to Brusters for his ice cream and dog treat. They give dogs a free scoop and a dog biscuit. We only let him eat half because he is so little. Aubrey wore more of her ice cream than ate it I think. Barry and Laura joined us for the outing. We had fun laughing with them. Ethan and Bruster both fell asleep on the way home (is it less than 10 minutes away).

Cruise

Derek and I enjoyed our cruise in honor of our 6th anniversary. It was some much needed relaxation time. We had a great couple from Chicago that we shared dinner with. The highlight was horseback riding on the beach. We were also able to swim in the water with horses. According to the excursion info this was one of three places in the world where you can do this. We had to ride bareback, a new experience in itself, and then we went right into the ocean. It was exciting. We had a great time. We brought Ethan back a sombrero and a treasure map (he is into pirates right now). We brought Aubrey back a dress and also a sombrero which she would have nothing to do with.

Welcome Bruster

We no sooner walked in the door from our cruise and Ethan was asking if we could go get Bruster. Of course, we said yes. Here is a little video of Bruster coming to our house. He loves Ethan already. He is a sweet dog and Aubrey likes to look at him and pet him if she is sitting in mommy's lap. She does not like it if she walks around him, she runs away. Hopefully she will get used to him soon. He has already wet our couch. This could be fun!

Disney Trip

We had a great trip to Disney with the Lamberts. Ethan had a great time. His favorite ride changes, but he loved everything. However, he did not like the Winnie the Pooh ride, go figure. He did not like when it bounced. We were very proud of him for going on Splash Mountain. After dinner on Thursday night, Hannah, Rachel, Ethan and I decided to try to make it to the fireworks at Magic Kingdom. You can see in the picture that they were rained out and we got soaked. We had a lot of laughs though and made a memory. Ethan was very excited to take Dad to the park on Friday. First we had breakfast with the characters. Ethan loved it. Aubrey did not. We tried every character that came by our table and she did not like any of them. I also had visions of Aubrey wearing the cute little Minnie Mouse hat with the ears. She would have nothing to do with any of the ones I tried on her. However, she loved her brothers hat. I even tried to buy her the same hat, but no she only liked Ethans. She did like an oven mitt in one of the stores. We settled for a Cinderella shirt for her. We had a great time and truly enjoyed our time with the Lamberts. It is a blessing to be able to find true friends and we have definitely found some in this great family. Russ was quite the photographer so I will post more pictures soon.
