Dance Recital

I was able to go and take pictures at Aubrey's dress rehearsal since cameras are not allowed for the recital. She did a great job and just lit up on the stage.

It was really cute when she would shake her little bottom with the feathers all shaking.
She was one of the only ones who actually knew what to do for the dance.

Aubrey is the one in the middle who looks like she does not have shorts on. The shirts were a little big, so you could not see her shorts underneath. We bought her a white skirt to wear instead that is longer. This is the finale where all the dancers are onstage.
She does the Macarena here with the younger girls.

She is so excited to watch the older girls
What is going on down there?
A little out of line here. At one point towards the end of practice her teacher was talking to the group of younger girls and Aubrey is raising her hand and jumping up and down. Her teacher asks her what she needs and at the top of her lungs, "I have to go potty!" It was classic and I so wish I had caught it on tape. All the mothers up in the balcony recording broke out in laughter and I proudly announced that was my child.
We are very excited about the recital tonight. This is our debut into the dance world.

She has been coughing some with her asthma, so we have been doing a few breathing treatments each day. I forgot to have her do it earlier, so poor thing had to do it while I was fixing her hair.
It is very hard to put lipstick and mascara on little one, but today was a good day!
I told Derek to pick her up some flowers and of course he picked the biggest bouquet. Ethan wanted to give them to her after the show. It was 9:30 when all these pictures were taken so she was a tad on the tired side, but really was happy.

Ms. Anne came and brought more flowers.
Of course Nana and Papa where there, the main reason for their visit.

Dave and Pam came even on very few hours of sleep!
And Aunt Joy would not have missed it either!
Proud Mom and Dad (in better lighting)

Ethan wanted to get in on a picture too!

Aubrey and Daddy. They did a father and daughter dance and we all told Derek next year that he should do it. How cute would that be?
Everyone came over for cake after the show. Sadly, our air conditioning decided not to work and it was 83 in the house. Aubrey told me she liked dance and had fun and would like to do it again
next year. Hoping to upload the video this afternoon - I need Derek's expertise to do it:)

Praise the Lord, when we work up this morning the a/c was back to 77! 77 degrees never felt so good! Derek and Papa cleaned out the filter and we believe that did the trick.

Aubrey is the 4th on the right, directly in the middle.
