Quick Trip to Concord

We made a quick trip to Concord this week. We were planning to go next week to go to the Christmas Show with Nana and Papa. On Tuesday, Derek called me from work to ask me to make a t-shirt for the youth selling tickets to the Thanksgiving dinner next week. It was then that we realized we could not go to Concord next week because Derek had to be here for the service after the dinner. We quickly packed and changed our plans and headed to Concord at 5 am on Wednesday morning. On the way we called Joe and Penny to see if they were free for lunch. They were gracious to make time for us so we met them at Cracker Barrel. Afterwards, they showed us their new office space. They have done a lot of work to it and we are really happy for them and CameraKidz (I used to work for Joe). It was great to see them.
We then did some shopping at Concord Mills. The new Children's Place is amazing. They have shoes. I got Aubrey a cute pair of Cowgirl boots for $5. We were able to get most of our Christmas shopping done for Derek's family. We left it there and Nana is going to wrap them for me. That is very sweet of her. Nana loves Christmas. We then met Nana and Papa at church to welcome their bus back from a trip to Gaitlinburg. Nana enjoyed showing off the kids to her friends. Ethan got to ride on the bus up to the garage and he thought that was cool.
Thursday we headed to the Christmas Show. We had a good time. Aubrey wanted Mommy, but would not let me hold her. She wanted to walk around freely. That was not an option. She was just okay. Ethan really enjoyed looking at the train models and the miniature houses. We got the good bread that we like and some soup mixes. We also got some presents. We found some really cool Bibles. There was a seasonal yearly Bible. Derek and I have both enjoyed reading our One Year Bible and it is getting worn out. We also found great Bibles for the kids. Ethan's is a warrior one and Aubrey got a Princess one. They have activities and songs that go along with the stories. We had never seen these before. We have a picture of Ethan pushing Aubrey and yes Aubrey is picking her nose. That is a new thing and we could not get to stop for the picture. Even though Aubrey was a handful, she was extremely friendly. She would say "hi" loudly to everyone she saw. Everyone would stop and say hi back and say how cute she was. It was cute at the beginning, but got a little old by the end. We ended the show with our traditional trip to South 21 Jr. We slit up and Papa and I took the kids to Chuck E Cheese. We do not have one near us and we told Ethan if he was good at the show we could go play afterwards. Nana and Derek went shopping at the floral supply store. Derek is decorating his new office at work.
Joy and Danny came by for BBQ for dinner. Aubrey was hilarious that night. She likes wipes and she would go around wiping noses. She really like to wipe Uncle Danny's nose (sorry I missed a picture).
We did a little more shopping on Friday and then headed back to Fl around 2 pm. Nana made a big breakfast for us and I took a picture of Aubrey with the eggs. She had eggs on her plate, but those were not good enough, she wanted to eat out of the big bowl. We all got a good laugh! I also need to explain the picture of Aubrey kissing the dummy. On our last visit this started and Nana and I both worked forever to get a good picture. This time we both got a good one and we were go excited we were jumping up and done. The things that make us happy! We had a great trip and Derek headed to Orlando last night when we got home for a Hillsong conference. He will be home today in time for church. I think tomorrow we will just relax after church.
I forgot to explain the picture of Derek in Target. He was actually laying down in t the aisle trying out a pillow. We have had the same microfiber pillows for over 6 years and are testing out new ones for Christmas. I had the camera with me so I had to take a picture of my crazy guy.
