Saturday Festivals

We started out our Saturday with Derek and Ethan making a pirate ship at Home Depot. It is really cute. After lunch, Derek had to play for a wedding so I took the kids to two festivals in town.
Ethan and his pirate ship
Eating cotton candy at the first festival. He was very sticky afterwards.
Aubrey looking cute in her ponytail.
Pony Rides. They really liked that. This was Aubrey's first time and she did just fine. She even let the lady working the ride walk around with her so I could take pictures.
Ethan enjoying another bounce house. He really likes the inflatables this year. Last year he did not want much to do with them.

Taking a hay ride.

This was our second festival of the day. Aubrey now wants to drink like a big girl without any help. Problem - she spills a lot. I got her a clear colored drink for this reason. However, today she decided to basically dump the whole thing on her. Her shirt was soaked. This was at the beginning of the festival and I did not think to bring any change of clothes. It was warm enough, but there was a cool breeze sometimes. Oh well. Little Miss Independent. Well, on certain things. She is clinging to me right now as I type this. Not so independent in some areas.

This was an inflatable Zoo. I think it was Ethan's favorite because you could jump and bounce off all the animals.
Aubrey was sharing her ice cream with Ethan. It was so cute the picture does not do it justice. They were both just cracking up.Ethan on the fire truck. He asked the fireman what all the handles were for. They control the water pressure of the hoses. You learn something new every day.
Ethan driving the fire truck. He thought this was really cool!
While I was finding an outfit for Aubrey to wear to church before her bath, this is what I turned around to find. I already mentioned she has a thing for wipes. Well, she pulled out about 50 in just a few seconds. She was just having a great time pulling them out as fast as she could. I salvaged them and stuck them back in the box. So much for pulling them out easily through the little dispenser like they are supposed to. Never a dull moment. We did have a nice day though.
