Ethan's Birthday Party

Ethan has his first kid birthday party today. The day started out with a T-Ball game his morning where Ethan got the Game Ball. The game ball is given out each game to a player that did really well. Ethan got that honor today and was thrilled. Derek and I set up the bounce house when we got home. The thing weighed 250 pounds so we rolled it to the back yard from the church van like a giant snowball. The thing was huge and the kids has a great time in it. All the guys helped get it down and carry it back to the van at the end of the party. We enjoyed dinosaur shaped chicken nuggets, pigs in a blanket, crock pot mac and cheese (Jill Rose's recipe), taco dip and of course cake. Ethan had a great time with all his friends and I think the adults had a good time as well. Aunt Joy joined us from NC about half way through the party. Ethan got a slip n slide from Barry and Laura and he wanted to try it out after the party. It has these little boards that you slide on so it does not hurt so much, but Ethan was having a diffcult time doing it. Mom put on her suit and tried to teach him. It takes a little coordination to do and Ethan got pretty good after some practice. I would have to say that the day was a success!
